Registration and Terms of Admission

Applicants with high achievements (psychometric and Bagrut scores) and who are interested in broad knowledge and basic concepts in each of the major areas that make up the cognitive sciences, will be accepted to this program.

Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements, but who are very close to them, will be presented to an exceptional admission committee.

 

Terms of admission:

  • Compliance with the University's general admission requirements at the level required by the department.
  • A grade of 120 in Ya'el Examination (for those whose teaching language in high school was not Hebrew).
  • The admission requirements for the double-major track 01 that combines one of the following departments: information systems, psychology, philosophy, and Hebrew language: a collective score of 680, passing the matriculation exam in mathematics with a grade of 80 (4 units), or with a grade of 70 (5 units).

A collective score for the exceptional admission committee: applicants whose scores are in the range 650-679 and who meet the university’s and the department’s admission requirements.

  • The admission requirements for the double-major track of the cognitive sciences and computer science: a collective score of 700, a raw psychometric score of 715, mathematics matriculation (Bagrut) grade of 90 (4 units), or a grade of 75 (5 units).

A collective score for the exceptional admission committee: applicants whose scores are in the range 670-699 and who meet the university’s and the department’s admission requirements.

  • The admission requirements for the double-major track with general combinations (except for the departments of: information systems, psychology, philosophy, and Hebrew language): a collective score of 700, a raw psychometric score of 715, mathematics matriculation (Bagrut) grade of 90 (4 units), or a grade of 75 (5 units).

A collective score for the exceptional admission committee: applicants whose scores are in the range 670-699 and who meet the university’s and the department’s admission requirements.

  • The admission requirements from Haifa university preparatory year (Mechina): an average score of 93 or above, including bonus.

Mathematics grade of 95 (4 units), or 85 (5 units), and a grade of 120 in Ya'el Examination.

Registration for the academic year 2021-2022 is conducted through the registration portal only.
